The reductions in dust, abrasive consumption, and spent abrasive to landfill earned the developer 7 points toward LEED certification.

The Challenge:  A historical building is being renovated and converted into an apartment complex.  Coal slag abrasive was being used to clean the structural surfaces on the inside of the building.  In addition to the need for cost control and effective cleaning, the developer of the project was pursuing LEED certification for the project.

The 10X Breakthrough:  By switching to 10X abrasives, the speed of cleaning improved and the contractor noted that abrasive consumption per square foot decreased by at least 50%.  The reductions in dust, abrasive consumption, and spent abrasive to landfill earned the developer 7 points toward LEED certification.
