Superoxalloy vs. crushed glass: Reducing chrome sulfur plate removal by 62.5%

The Challenge

An industrial services contractor was performing a reactor maintenance turnaround project and fell behind because removal of chrome sulfur plating was too slow and, in some cases, impossible to do by blasting with crushed glass. They were warned by their customer that they would be replaced if performance did not improve.

The 10X Breakthrough

The industrial services contractor switched to 10X superoxalloy and found that it easily cut through the chrome coating. What took 8 hours using crushed glass was reduced to only 3 hours using 10X superoxalloy abrasives. The job was ultimately completed 5 days ahead of schedule.
